After my bath
I try, try, try
To wipe myself
Till I’m dry, dry, dry.

Hands to wipe
And fingers and toes
And two wet legs
And a shiny nose.

Just think how much
Less time I’d take
If I were a dog
And could shake, shake, shake.

मैं अपने को सूखाने की
तब तक कोशिश करता हूँ,

और अपने शरीर को झकझोर देता।

Summary of Story
In this poem, the child is telling that what does he do after taking a bath. He tells he wipes himself till he becomes completely dried. He also wipes his hands, fingers, toes, legs and nose. He thinks that if he were a dog, he could just shake and would soon get dried.

इस कविता में एक बच्चा कह रहा है कि वह स्नान करने के बाद क्या करता है। वह बताता है कि जब तक वह पूरी तरह से सूख नहीं जाता तब तक वह अपने पूरे शरीर को पोंछता है। वह अपने हाथों, अँगुलियों, टखनों, अपनी टाँगों तथा नाक को भी पोंछता है। वह सोचता है कि यदि वह कुत्ता होता तो अपने शरीर को कपाता और तुरंत सूख जाता।
